Employee Benefits Group Gives Away the Bank!!

On Thursday, August 6th, Employee Benefits Group sponsored a 50-foot putt contest at the Minnesota/Dakotas ESOP Association Golf Tournament at Heritage Links Golf Course in Lakeville, MN.

And even though Doug David of Foldcraft, Inc. hadn’t had a chance to play much golf in the last couple of years, he stepped up to the ball, calmed his nerves, and sank the putt to claim the $2,500 prize.

Employee Benefits Group. LLC has a long history of supporting this event and EBG’s President Steve Storkan is on the committee that organizes the annual tournament to support the Employee Ownership Foundation. "The annual golf tournament is an event that all of the Minnesota/Dakotas ESOP Association members look forward to. Even in a down year for the economy, our Employee-Owners and the ESOP providers are committed to making sure that ESOPs have a strong future."

This year, thirty-four sponsors took part in the event which, in addition to the long putt contest, included other fundraising activities such as a Frisbee golf challenge, a "longest drive with the shortest club" contest, generous giveaways by Association members, and the always popular raffle.

Since its inception nine years ago, the Minnesota/Dakotas ESOP Association Golf Tournament has raised over $80,000 for the Employee Ownership Foundation. Plans for next year’s event are already underway and the Minnesota/Dakotas chapter of the ESOP Association looks forward to continue advocating for ESOP in the upper Midwest and around the country.
